Most are accessible year-round, including winter. These small primitive campgrounds are conveniently located throughout the Olympic Peninsula, many just minutes from Olympic National Park.Īll are first-come, first-served and you can stay for up to 7 days at once. My favorite place for free camping on the Olympic Peninsula is one of the 10 free campgrounds operated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
